About Bobbie Jo DiPierro
Counselor, LMHC
Bobbie Jo is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Masters’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from The Citadel. She has been a military spouse for nearly 20 years and has worked in many country settings, including non-profits, schools, hospitals, and law enforcement agencies. She works with children, adolescents, and adults navigating multiple life stages. She has extensive training with clients exposed to trauma and those struggling with various behavioral concerns, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal conflicts.
Bobbie Jo understands that counseling can be a vulnerable process, and she meets her clients where they are with compassion, understanding, and encouragement. She collaborates and empowers her clients to develop their own treatment goals for improving their situation, coping skills, and personal growth in their lives for improved fulfillment in their lives. Bobbie Jo strives to provide a compassionate and engaging therapeutic environment for her clients, so therapy sessions are a safe space to speak openly.
Bobbie Jo utilizes many cognitive-behavioral therapeutic techniques to challenge and change our negative thought patterns. She feels that specific techniques such as guided relaxation, breathing, and challenging negative beliefs can bring progress toward client-centered goals. However, Bobbie Jo feels that there is no single therapy approach. We are all individuals, and counseling should be a highly individualized experience.
