Throughout her career, Lauren has worked with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, young adults, active-duty military personnel, veterans, first responders, and adults. This breadth of experience has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of mental health treatment across varying levels of care and stages of life, while allowing her to tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs, experiences, and goals. Her current practice focuses exclusively on adults.

As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Lauren has specialized education and advanced training in the trauma-informed assessment, case conceptualization, and treatment of trauma and trauma-related conditions. Her trauma-focused training includes an in-depth understanding of the neurobiological and psychological effects of trauma, the ways trauma can affect thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and physiological responses, trauma-related symptoms and disorders, and trauma-informed approaches to clinical care. This specialized training supports Lauren’s ability to provide evidence-based, compassionate, and individualized treatment while maintaining an emphasis on safety, empowerment, and recovery.

Lauren specializes in trauma-focused psychotherapy, utilizing evidence-based approaches including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).

EMDR is a trauma-focused psychotherapy that helps individuals process and reprocess distressing memories through a structured, phased approach. The goal is to help clients develop more adaptive perspectives and reduce the emotional and physiological distress associated with traumatic memories.

CPT is an evidence-based cognitive-behavioral therapy for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) that helps individuals identify and evaluate unhelpful or “stuck” beliefs related to traumatic experiences. Through structured cognitive interventions, clients develop more balanced and accurate perspectives about the trauma and its impact on their lives.

Lauren specializes in working with adults navigating trauma, PTSD, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and other mental health concerns. She approaches therapy from a trauma-informed, compassionate, and individualized perspective, recognizing that each person’s experiences, strengths, and path toward healing are unique. Her goal is to provide a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where clients can better understand themselves, process difficult experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward meaningful and lasting change.
