Whitney has extensive clinical experience in treating mood disorders, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. When treating individuals with anxiety or depression, self-awareness plays a role in successful treatment. Self-awareness with kind reflection plays a significant role in personal improvement. She uses cognitive behavioral techniques, polyvagal theory, nervous system regulation practices, somatic therapy, and EMDR therapy. The interrelatedness of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors is a primary driving force for our mental well-being and nervous system regulation, increasing our distress tolerance window.
